Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the boarding times?

A: Oliver Cromwell Boarding is always at 7pm. The Edward Elgar boards at 7pm for the canal cruise and 2pm for the Full River Cruise. Please do not try to board before these times as the crew will not be available to let you on board. They will still be preparing the vessel for you, and cooking your evening meal.

Q: Is there parking available?

A: Parking is available nearby the vessels. If you bring a car you would drive directly alongside the boat to unload your baggage, and then we will direct you to your parking. You must reserve a space with us at the time of booking. It is charged at £4 per night.

Q: Can I come on my own?

A: We have single supplements available for all types of cabin on Oliver Cromwell. Please call us for details.

Q: Can I bring a wheelchair, or other aid?

A: Folding wheelchairs can be brought on board. We make every effort to accommodate everyone and crew are always on hand to help but if you are unsure please call us and advise us before booking.

Q: I am only partially disabled, do I need to tell you about this?

A: Due to the fact that all our holidays take place on board a ship, you must warn us of any mobility problems that you have in advance so we can be prepared to help in any way necessary upon your arrival. All our gangplanks have railings on both sides.

Q: Is there a power socket in the cabin?

A: Yes, every cabin has a 240V power socket suitable for small hairdryers, phone chargers etc. Please note that they cannot be used for high powered hair dryers or portable immersion heaters or kettles. There is also a power socket for electric razors in the bathrooms.

Q: Can I bring my own alcohol?

A: Our vessels are licensed premises governed by the licensing Act 2003. Alcohol purchased off of the premises cannot be consumed in the licensed areas of the vessels.

Q: Do you provide towels?

A: We provide bath and hand towels, soap and all the bedding needed in each cabin.
