Cabins
The Edward Elgar Riverboat Hotel has 11 passenger cabins, all of which are all
‘Outside Twins’. They offer a comfortable night’s sleep during your cruise holiday. Each cabin has
a window, twin beds and an en-suite shower, washbasin and WC. English Holiday Cruises supply a
variety of cabin amenities to make your stay more comfortable. There is air-conditioning/heating
and an independent supply of fresh air. The floor plan is shown here along with a photo. The space
available is cosy and comfortable to help you enjoy some of the best boat holidays in the UK.
Convenient En-suite
Facilities
All cabins have en-suite facilities with a washbasin, electric shaver socket,
shower and WC. The WC is a proper flushing toilet, NOT a chemical toilet but the flushing system is
still sensitive and a separate bin is provided for the disposal of sanitary items, wet wipes,
cotton wool and cotton buds.
Comfortable
Accommodation
English Holiday Cruises make your cabin comfortable to help you sleep soundly
during your river cruise holiday. As in any hotel, we provide soft pillows, crisp bedding, hand-
and bath-towels plus an amenity pack with soap and shampoo. Additional cabin amenities are
available on request, including an iron and board, hairdryer and extra pillows and blankets.
A supply of drinking water is also provided and there is a regular 240V electric
socket suitable for low-power appliances such as a small hair-dryer or mobile ‘phone charger. There
is storage space under the beds for suitcases and there is some hanging space and drawers for your
clothes. The space is adequate for the longest of our river cruise holidays.
We have recently installed a super-quiet overnight generator which should not
disturb anybody’s sleep. As with all boats however, there are occasional background pumps, gurgles
and watery noises.

Climate
Control
All inboard areas have air-conditioning/heating and a separate supply of fresh
air controlled by the Captain. In each cabin, the air-conditioning may be turned off independently
of the fresh air supply, so you control your cabin climate to get a good rest at night.

Professional
Cleaning
English Holiday Cruises employs professional cleaners for each cruise holiday
‘turnaround’. When you arrive your cabin will be fresh, clean and sparkling. During your cruise
holiday, the crew will clean your cabin every day, make up the beds and replace any towels you may
wish to have laundered. We can supply an iron and ironing board if requested but we do not offer a

Special Mobility
Needs
We do our best to attend to special mobility needs. The vessel is not suitable
for passengers who are wheelchair-bound but if you have difficulty walking, we can accommodate
collapsing wheelchairs. The stairs to the cabins are easy-rising, easier than a normal domestic
staircase and there are banisters on both sides of the main staircase. Our crew will be on-hand to
