All English Holiday Cruises are full-board holidays on the Cotswolds river Severn navigation out of Gloucester. The Edward Elgar Riverboat Hotel serves delicious traditional English food freshly prepared by our own chef on board. All meals and drinks are prepared to a high standard to complement superb river tours which are amongst the best European river cruises available.

Traditional English Food

We serve traditional English food three times each day. There is a good menu selection available for each meal and the selection changes every day. A typical day’s menu is shown here, including a traditional cooked English breakfast, buffet lunch and three-course dinner. Vegetarian options are available at every mealtime and we can also cater for special dietary requirements if we are warned in advance of your holiday cruise. These meals are all designed to enhance your river cruise holiday.

Well-stocked Bar and Free-flow Tea, Coffee and Chilled water

The cash bar stocks a wide variety of soft drinks, beers, wines and spirits. Prices are set at a reasonable pub standard and all drinks are charged on a cash basis during your holiday. The bar is open from 11am to 11pm.

We also offer an endless supply of FREE self-service tea, coffee and chilled or ambient chilled water, unlike some European river tours.

Informal Clothing

To help you to relax during your river cruise holiday, we encourage an informal atmosphere aboard. Feel free to wear casual clothing, even to the meal table. During the day, depending on the weather, you may like to wear shorts and T-shirts. In the evening some passengers like to ‘dress up’ a little for dinner but nobody brings out their formal evening wear. Our riverboat holidays are relaxing!

Thank you for the tea and coffee availability- expected only occasional access, it made my holiday, especially at 4.00am!!!
